Mr. Adebisi Adebayo Ogunkanmi spent over three decades shaping Lagos State classrooms — the colleagues who worked under him call him the "Principal of Principals." Ilé Yorùbá brings that same standard, live, to children in Toronto, Houston, London, and Sydney.

The Principal of Principals
Mr. Ogunkanmi gave the Lagos State Government thirty-four years of his working life — not behind a desk, but in front of students, in the corridors of some of Surulere's best-known schools, and eventually at the helm of them. He is remembered less for any single title and more for a habit: an open door. Students, teachers, and junior staff alike could walk in.
That reputation is what earned him the name colleagues still use today — the Principal of Principals — and it's the same standard he now brings to Ilé Yorùbá's live classes, teaching the language and history he has spent his life inside.
Save your child's spot in an upcoming Ilé Yorùbá class. Mr. Ogunkanmi's team will reach out to confirm scheduling once we receive your details.
